As the iteration of large AI models enters the phase of large-scale commercial deployment, 10,000-GPU clusters have become standard computing infrastructure. With the continuous advancement of the East Data, West Computing project, every leap of the digital economy relies on underlying optical transmission technologies. Having cultivated the cable industry for many years, Far East follows the strategy of "Electric Energy + Computing Power + AI". We have built a full industrial chain covering optical preform, optical fiber & cable, and optical connection components. Precisely targeting transmission demands in the computing era, we forge high-speed, reliable and intelligent optical communication networks for high-quality development of digital infrastructure through technological breakthroughs and diversified product portfolios.

The explosive growth of AI computing power is reshaping the demand structure of the optical fiber industry, while exposing long-standing industrial pain points. Conventional optical fibers fail to meet the operating requirements of 800G and even 1.6T high-speed optical modules, and cannot support efficient collaboration within 10,000-GPU clusters. Another bottleneck emerges in high-density cabling scenarios. Computing hubs feature densely arranged server cabinets with tight spaces and frequent bending routes. Ordinary optical fibers easily suffer signal attenuation under small-radius bending, which not only increases construction and maintenance costs but also brings hidden risks to network stability. Meanwhile, the industry faces supply-demand mismatch: there is overcapacity for standard optical fibers yet insufficient supply of high-end computing-grade optical fibers. Achieving independent controllability of core technologies and rapidly catering to customized demands of computing scenarios has become a shared challenge for the whole sector.
To tackle these industrial challenges, Far East takes end-to-end in-house R&D as the core, developing a full-scenario optical fiber product portfolio to systematically resolve transmission challenges of the computing era. Upstream along the industrial chain, Far East has mastered the fully synthetic VAD+OVD optical preform manufacturing technology, breaking overseas technical barriers and realizing full independent control covering preform fabrication, fiber drawing and cabling. This delivers solid guarantees for stable supply of high-end optical fibers. Five core strengths jointly build robust industry moats: full commitment to the AIDC all-optical interconnection track, self-developed and self-produced integrated preform-fiber-cable industrial chain, first-mover advantages in hollow-core optical fiber, large-scale verification by global top CSP clients, and parallel rapid capacity expansion in domestic and overseas markets.
To satisfy full-scenario demands of the optical communications industry, Far East has developed a complete product portfolio covering telecommunications, data communications and special optical applications. For backbone networks and long-distance transmission under the East Data, West Computing initiative, we provide low-loss G.652.D and ultra-low-loss G.654.E single-mode optical fibers to support cross-regional computing resource scheduling. For broadband upgrading, high-performance access network optical fibers are available to accommodate network iteration from Gigabit to 10-Gigabit. For AI data centers, we launch OM4/OM5 high-density multimode optical fibers as well as bend-insensitive G.657.A1 and G.657.A2 single-mode optical fibers, perfectly matching transmission requirements of 800G/1.6T high-speed optical modules. In terms of cutting-edge technology layout, we develop specialty optical fibers such as anti-resonant hollow-core optical fibers. While maintaining low-loss performance, these fibers reduce optical signal transmission latency by roughly 30% and expand the transmission bandwidth to the full 1260–1625 nm waveband, regarded as next-generation transmission solutions for terabit-level computing networks.
Moving forward, Far East will continue to implement the development strategy of "Electric Energy + Computing Power + AI". We will steadily increase investment in core technology R&D and capacity expansion, push forward the capacity upgrade of optical preforms and optical fibers, and continuously enrich the portfolio of high-end specialty optical fibers. With further development of AI computing power and the digital economy, leveraging full-industry-chain independent capabilities and all-scenario solutions, Far East will keep empowering the upgrade of computing infrastructure, consolidating a robust optical transmission foundation for the construction of Digital China, and continuously showcasing technological strengths of Chinese enterprises amid transformations in the global optical communications industry.
