Ultra-precise Temperature Control: Far East Electric Cabinet-type Liquid-liquid CDU Reconstructs Liquid Cooling Operation & Maintenance Efficiency
Release time:2026.07.06 Read volume:186

As the core support for stable computing operation, the efficiency, reliability and adaptability of cooling systems directly determine the operating ceiling and operational costs of computing clusters. Amid this industrial trend, Far East Electric has delved deep into liquid cooling technology and launched cabinet-mounted liquid-liquid CDU products, delivering mature and efficient centralized liquid cooling solutions for diverse computing scenarios and laying a solid heat dissipation foundation for the era of high-density computing power.

At present, the heat density per cabinet of AI training clusters and high-density data centers keeps rising. Traditional air cooling has gradually hit its efficiency ceiling. It fails to meet precise temperature control requirements under high heat loads, while bringing a series of issues such as excessive energy consumption and noise pollution. For existing computer rooms, heat dissipation upgrades are often hampered by practical obstacles including limited space, difficult renovation and high risks of business interruption. Newly-built intelligent computing centers impose stricter requirements on the redundancy, easy maintenance and cluster management capabilities of cooling systems. Meanwhile, the liquid cooling industry is plagued by common challenges such as pipeline corrosion, difficulties in maintaining working fluid cleanliness, tough leakage risk control and complicated maintenance. How to balance heat dissipation efficiency with system reliability and maintenance efficiency has become the core challenge for the commercial deployment of liquid cooling in data centers.

To tackle multiple prevailing heat dissipation pain points in the industry, Far East Electric’s cabinet-mounted liquid-liquid CDU features an integrated design that can be installed side by side with server cabinets. Core components including plate heat exchangers, secondary circulation water pumps, constant-pressure fluid replenishment systems, expansion tanks and filters are highly integrated inside a standard cabinet. A complete cooling distribution unit can be formed without scattered deployment, greatly lowering deployment difficulty and space occupation, which makes it especially suitable for heat dissipation renovation of legacy computer rooms. Equipped with plate heat exchangers for bilateral heat exchange, the system delivers cooling liquid to heat sources to absorb operational heat from equipment; the heated fluid flows back to the plate heat exchanger for cooling to form a closed circulation loop that continuously removes waste heat. Adopting self-developed load feedforward prediction plus closed-loop PID dynamic algorithms, the product realizes coordinated regulation of primary-side electric valves and secondary-side variable frequency pumps to deliver precise temperature control within a stable ±0.5°C range throughout operation. An optional 50μm ultra-fine filter is available, alongside online maintenance and intelligent group control functions. While guaranteeing heat dissipation efficiency, the product takes into full account system redundancy, environmental adaptability and convenient cluster maintenance.

In terms of refined operational management and safety protection, the product is equipped with a full set of intelligent monitoring systems to realize all-round online water quality monitoring. The cooling flow supports wide-range dynamic adjustment from 10% to 100%, matching cooling output in real time according to server loads. Combined with low-energy-consumption design, it strikes a balance between efficiency and power usage. Its rated heat exchange capacities reach 300kW and 600kW respectively to cover heat dissipation demands of various power densities. Compatible with multiple cooling working fluids and power supply modes, the CDU operates stably under wide temperature and high-altitude conditions, and can be widely applied in various high heat density computing scenarios such as high-density data centers, intelligent computing centers and AI training clusters.

With the continuous advancement of the intelligent computing industry, liquid cooling technology will become the standard cooling solution for next-generation data centers. Higher heat exchange efficiency, lower maintenance costs and stronger intelligence will be the core development directions of liquid cooling products. Far East Electric will keep exploring full-stack liquid cooling technologies. Taking cabinet-mounted liquid-liquid CDU as the core node, we will continuously enrich our liquid cooling product portfolio and solution capabilities, optimize product performance to match iterative demands of the computing industry, help data centers achieve green and low-carbon operation featuring high density and low PUE, and provide solid liquid cooling technical support for the high-quality development of the digital economy and AI industry.
