Far East Electric's Data Center Optical Fibers and Cables Fortify the "Backbone" of Computing Power Networks
Release time:2026.01.28 Read volume:286

Anchored in the core requirements for computing power transmission in data centers in the AI era, Far East Electric has established the capability to supply multimode optical fibers. With technical characteristics of high speed and large bandwidth, these fibers precisely meet the short-distance interconnection needs of scenarios such as AI intelligent computing centers and high-performance computing clusters, and are adaptable to highly flexible cabling scenarios including inside data center cabinets and fiber-to-the-desktop. They build a solid foundation for high-speed transmission in computing power infrastructure and activate new productive forces in AI data centers. In addition, Far East Electric has simultaneously launched pre-research on cutting-edge technologies such as hollow-core optical fibers, proactively laying out the track of low-latency and ultra-broadband transmission technologies, and continuously injecting technological momentum into the high-quality development of data centers in the AI era.

As the AI computing power revolution sweeps the globe, computing power networks have become the core foundation for the development of the digital economy. Optical fibers and cables, as the core carriers of data transmission, are evolving from traditional "transmission pipelines" to the "neural networks" of computing power networks, directly determining the efficiency of releasing computing power potential. High-quality optical fiber and cable products and comprehensive solutions are the key to building stable, efficient, and scalable computing power, as well as the core support for empowering the high-quality upgrade of digital infrastructure. With the explosive growth of demands such as AI large model training and ultra-large-scale data processing, internal cabinet interconnection in data centers and cross-regional cluster collaboration have imposed stringent requirements on optical fibers and cables for high density, high performance, and low latency. From the ultra-high-speed transmission needs of long-distance data center interconnection (DCI) to the improvement of space utilization in dense cabling scenarios of data centers, a full industrial chain matrix covering conventional and special products is required to accurately meet the multi-scenario application needs of computing power networks.

Targeting the short-distance and high-speed interconnection needs of data centers, Far East Electric has developed a variety of optical fibers and cables, including bend-insensitive multimode optical fibers, bend-insensitive single-mode optical fibers, and hollow-core anti-resonant optical fibers. Bend-insensitive multimode optical fibers are special fibers designed for high-density and multi-bending cabling environments. By optimizing the core and cladding structure, they can maintain extremely low signal attenuation even under repeated bending and small-radius turns. They are mainly applied in highly flexible scenarios such as inside data center cabinets and fiber-to-the-desktop, serving as a key enabler for stable optical transmission in compact spaces.

Bend-insensitive single-mode optical fibers are special fibers designed for harsh bending environments. Through an innovative waveguide structure, they can stably transmit single-mode optical signals with almost no additional loss even at ultra-small bending radii. Hollow-core anti-resonant optical fibers represent a revolutionary type of special fiber. Their core features a hollow structure, utilizing the anti-resonance principle to confine light propagation in air instead of traditional glass. This gives them characteristics of ultra-low latency, resistance to nonlinear effects, and potential ultra-low loss, making them a cutting-edge technological direction for future high-speed communications, high-power laser transmission, and precision sensing fields.
